October 18 we will have our hayride and campfire again this year at Adams house.

October 25 we will put on a Chili dinner for a fundraiser so we can raise some money to go to Youth fest in Decorah, Iowa(for 9-12 grades) and for Peder Eide Jr High Retreat in Oregon,Il(for 6-9 grades)

On November 9, the ladies of the church would like for the youth to serve lunch for them. I am not sure what they would like but I do need some volunteers.

A Few ideas for this winter was babysitting for the holidays; Christmas present wrapping for people and to sell Little Caesars pizza kits to raise some money to go to Youth Quake in February.

Some more fun and exciting things we had thought about were decorating the Christmas tree in the museum for Miracle on 2nd street, Christmas caroling, movie night in the sanctuary, If you have some more good ideas let us know!

Highlights from 2007

March started us out on one of our big fundraisers for the year. Youth-led Easter Worship Service tradition was preserved with enthusiastic drama leadership by Carol Niederer and Karol Livingston. Thanks goes out to all who supported and helped with the Easter Breakfast. A few events were planned throughout the summer to gather all our youth together. We planned some mini-putting and a cook-out for June and also a camp-out and picnic. Magic Waters was planned for July. Also, we did a few fundraisers, car washes and babysitting. September was a wonderful month for me. I was blessed by a wonderful congregation (especially our Youth) who sent me to Youth & Family Certification School to become a Certified Youth & Family Minister. BIG thanks goes out to each and every one for all your blessings and prayers. Hayride – campfire was a big hit in October. We cooked hotdogs, roasted marshmallows and made fruit pies on an open fire. We bobbed for apples and then went on a long adventurous hayride. Thanks to all who helped out and also brought food to share. In November, we did a community service project and provided Babysitting for people who needed to shop without their children. It was a fun time for all – even the snacks were a hit. “All Aboard the Santa Express!” was the theme for the festival of trees in December. We represented All Saints with a tree decorated by the Sunday School children and our Youth. Our tree was then donated to a family in Byron who needed a tree. Thanks to all who helped decorate and set up.

For our Christmas break, we enjoyed a movie night at church for all youth. We enjoyed popcorn, pop, and sweet treats. “Facing the Giants” and “Evan Almighty” were the movies of the night.
